Our Approach: Elementary-aged Students
At PacPrep, we believe in a holistic approach that considers the unique needs of each student and their family. Collaboration is central to what we do.
In elementary school, we focus on supporting students as children first, and then incorporating meaningful learning opportunities from there. This means we strive to make sure every student feels heard and seen. Some students learn best jumping on a trampoline while problem-solving math equations, while others enjoy interest-based projects that help them develop important skills.
When working with elementary families, we often collaborate on questions like: "What will ignite my child's soul and get them excited about learning? And, what unique experiences do I want them to have?" Our team carefully considers the answers to these questions and creates a dynamic learning experience that meets the student's needs and family’s goals. Once we establish that learning is accessible for the student, they are set up for academic success. In Eliana's interview, she describes more of her experience as a dual-enrolled elementary student.
Our teachers integrate our students' passions and interests into their daily lessons. We understand that kids need to move, engage holistically, and have opportunities to work and play outside of the virtual classroom. Most of our students spend a maximum of 2-3 hours per day working with their teachers, leaving time for exploring their community and participating in extracurricular activities. Families are free to fill the rest of their child's day with meaningful activities that their child enjoys, and we are here to help craft that experience.
