Sophia, High School Student Rebuilding After a Mental Health Crisis

Sophia had always been a high-achieving student at a rigorous independent school, but during her junior year, her mental health declined, and she needed to step away from school for treatment.

When she was ready to re-engage with academics, she faced the daunting challenge of catching up on missed coursework while ensuring she could transition back to her school the following year.

Her family partnered with Pacific Preparatory to create a customized plan that would allow her to earn credits while prioritizing her recovery. We worked directly with her school to align course titles and content, ensuring that she would seamlessly reintegrate upon her return. With adjusted pacing and reduced test anxiety accommodations, Sophia was able to rebuild her confidence in a low-pressure learning environment. After completing her courses with Pacific Preparatory, she successfully transitioned back to her independent school for senior year, feeling stronger and more prepared than ever.
