Maya, Competitive Skier Balancing Training and Academics

Maya, a high school sophomore and nationally ranked skier, struggled to keep up with the rigid schedule of her traditional school. Between training, travel, and competitions, she was frequently absent, making it difficult to stay on top of coursework.

She needed a flexible but rigorous academic program that would allow her to pursue her passion without sacrificing her education.

Pacific Preparatory provided Maya with customized scheduling and pacing, allowing her to take courses around her training schedule rather than trying to fit training around school. She worked with teachers who understood the demands of student-athletes and helped her stay on track with high-value assignments and live instruction. By the end of the year, Maya had not only maintained her academic performance but had also qualified for an elite skiing program—knowing that she could continue her education without compromise.
