We're Accredited. Here's What That Means.

Pacific Preparatory has been accredited by Cognia.

We’re proud to announce that our private school, Pacific Preparatory, has officially received accreditation through Cognia.

Accreditation is an important step for us because it formalizes what we already know (that our school is exceptional in both the quality of our academics and the care we provide our students) and because it symbolizes our dedication to continuous growth.

Who Is Cognia?

Cognia is the parent organization of three of the six major accreditation agencies, including:

  • North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI)

  • Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC)

  • Southern Association of Schools and Colleges Councils on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).

What Does It Mean to be Accredited by Cognia?

We have always held ourselves and our students to high standards. At its core, accreditation mainly just validates this truth. But accreditation also means we’ve committed ourselves to continuous self-evaluation and improvement, and we have opened ourselves up to third-party support to affirm and critique the ways we’re executing these improvements. To learn more about Cognia’s performance standards for schools, you can read more here.

For parents, accreditation is another stamp of approval around academic standards. In addition, we can officially provide students with transcripts and issue grades through our accredited online and in-person school.

Pacific Preparatory can now issue California transcripts.

What About A-G Approval?

High school students applying to UC schools must provide a transcript with A-G approved high school coursework, which we provide for all subjects as needed.

How do I enroll my child?

Our enrollment process starts with a call with our Admission Manager, Molly Tweten. You can reach out to her directly to schedule a call at molly@pacificpreparatory.com. We welcome all students, K-12, and offer rolling admissions so that students can join us at any time during the school year.
