What Does Summer Look Like at PacPrep?

Summer is a time for sunshine, sunscreen, and learning! At PacPrep, we have found that summer is a great time for students to dive deeper into areas that excite them or focus some extra time on subjects they want to advance.

What Types of Courses Can I Take?

Our one-on-one model allows us to tailor each course to the wants and needs of each student and their family. By enrolling in PacPrep’s summer semester, your child can have the freedom to explore specific courses relating to their passions!

Some examples of PacPrep summer courses include: 

  • A student who loves baking can take a course that focuses on the science that makes baking possible and the history behind the recipes and ingredients they are using. 

  • Your family is taking a trip to Greece. Your child’s teacher can focus on the history of Greece and tailor the course lessons to the places your family will be visiting.

  • Your child has had difficulty with distance learning this past year and you notice that they could use a refresher on study skills and organization. Their teacher can work with them on study skills that will compliment their style and will set them up for success in the fall!

  • A child who has always wanted to learn French but their school has never offered it can enroll in a summer course with PacPrep and receive a personalized introduction to the French language.

We have found that children enrolled in summer courses have their love of learning reignited and are less likely to experience dreaded summer boredom. Summer courses are also a great way for students and teachers to foster a mentorship relationship before the start of the year. Our teachers and curriculum specialist, Erika, work hard to develop engaging lessons and hands-on activities to ensure their courses are something they will look forward to and remember for years to come.
