About the FACILITATOR

Erika graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Whitworth University before completing her Masters of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Portland State University. Prior to joining the Pacific Preparatory team, Erika worked as an elementary school teacher. In her free time, she enjoys reading, puzzles and board games, and spending time with her friends and family.

From a parent: The reading circle is a uniquely sweet opportunity for early learners to enjoy stories together every week. Erika is an enthusiastic and warm host—making the kids feel a sense of connection to her and to the other kids participating. The content was thoughtfully designed to engage the kids in a diverse range of topics, and Erika consistently facilitates conversation in a relaxed way that allows the kids to interact with one another and the content organically.
